The site runs on a shared-hosting cPanel account and I need every plugin brought up to date and the server’s PHP bumped to the latest stable release—without a single minute of public downtime. Current situation • Shared hosting only. No confirmed staging environment; if one doesn’t exist you will need to spin up a safe clone inside the account or work locally and push. • Mission-critical functionality relies on WPML Multilingual CMS and several custom PHP snippets, so their integrity must be verified after the upgrade. Scope of work 1. Create a full off-site backup (files + database). 2. Set up or confirm a staging/clone environment inside the same shared account. 3. Audit all active plugins and themes, then update or replace as required for compatibility with the newest stable PHP. 4. Upgrade PHP through cPanel (or host interface), apply necessary INI tweaks, and clear any deprecation warnings. 5. Regression-test the staging copy: front-end rendering, WPML language switching, contact forms, payment or checkout flows if present, and custom PHP hooks. 6. Push to live with zero downtime, flushing caches and permalinks where necessary. 7. Provide a brief hand-over report outlining what was changed, any plugins retired, and recommendations for future maintenance. Acceptance criteria • Live site loads error-free under the new PHP version. • WPML language selector, custom PHP features, and existing forms operate exactly as before (or better). • No measurable downtime during cut-over; a maintenance page is acceptable only if it lasts under a minute. • Backup archive and change log delivered on completion. cPanel, phpMyAdmin, SSH (if enabled), and WordPress admin credentials will be supplied after award.
