I’m building a fast-paced first-person shooter in Unreal Engine that allows players to switch seamlessly to an over-the-shoulder third-person view whenever they need tactical awareness. The ultimate goal is a single code-base that ships on PC, current-gen consoles, and modern iOS/Android devices with consistent feel and performance. Here’s what I need you to handle: • Core character controller in C++/Blueprints that supports both first- and third-person cameras, complete with smooth transitions and fully network-replicated movement. • Robust weapon and projectile system, including hitscan and ballistic options, ready for multiplayer synchronization. • Cross-platform input mapping (keyboard/mouse, gamepad, touch) and UI prompts that auto-adapt to the active device. • Performance-minded asset integration, LODs, and platform-specific scalability settings so the game maintains 60 fps on mid-range PC hardware and a stable frame rate on target consoles and mobiles. • End-to-end packaging: Windows build, console compliance-ready builds (we’ll provide SDK access), and Android/iOS testflight or APK/IPA drops. Acceptance criteria 1. A playable prototype scene that demonstrates camera switching, basic shooting, and networked play for at least four clients. 2. Successful packaging on all three platform families with no blocking errors. 3. Clear, well-commented source (UE 5 branch) committed to our private Git repository.
