The project will explore a trading system that I believe has a meaningful edge from my limited human testings/experiences, but it is far too discretionary and not clear enough to be a solid business model for me to take meaningful risk that I can scale comfortably. As such, the goal is to network and interview an solid programmer who understands the potential of a trading system with meaningful edge that can be automated (either fully automated or automated to such a scale that it brings refreshing and transparent clarity in the system to the point to the point where even a mediocre human subject with average experience can trade successfully with conviction much like driving a car; while act of God accidents may happen for most part the driver is aware of all possible scenarios and can act confidently and decisively to the point where he can drive through muscle memory with no stress. Key elements I need: • Must have solid programming background (ex. college degree, resume of real developer experience exposed in real world setting, interesting portfolio, etc). While coding skill is necessary, the more sought-after skill is solid deductive mindset where one can utilize more optimal algorithm to solve problems and have strong reasoning skills to break the problem down and solve them deductively. The goal is to grasp the working model that I have and fill in the gaps that will change from good trading platform to a solid business model so resilient that any normal and non-exceptional audience can be successful. • Ideally experienced with C-based language/python and trading platforms as the platform we would be working on would most likely me Metatrader 5 and/or cTrader but the latter experience is more important than knowing what coding language is ideal • The nature of the work would be somewhat similar to the movie plot of "Moneyball". The meat of the system will be provided and it will be further refined to eliminate as much discretionary element (ex. instinct, hunch, or other qualitative elements/factors) as possible and fill the vague gaps by protocols developed based on extensive data-mining and market stress testings. • Someone who is comfortable with NDA and have no fraud/financial related criminal background Payment structure would be discussed once we both agree we'd be a good fit to one another. Prefer exclusive partnership given the nature of the potentially successful result, but open to discussion for a right candidate.
