I need an experienced Java engineer to add a complete geofencing module to my existing Spring Boot backend. The core tasks are to detect enter, exit and dwell events in real time, expose the necessary REST endpoints and wire everything up to Google Maps API for geocoding and polygon handling. You will be working against a mature code-base that already manages users, devices and location pings. Your part is to design the geofence data model, build the event engine, and surface webhook or message-queue notifications that the rest of the platform can consume. Because this feature is a priority release, I would like to see it live as soon as possible ideally within the next couple of weeks. Please share relevant past work that proves you have shipped similar location-aware services, especially if you have done so with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA and Google Maps. If all goes well, there is room to extend the contract for additional location analytics work. Responsibilities :- ● Design and implement backend logic to manage geofences, user coordinates, and real-time event triggers ● Integrate with third-party geofencing / mapping APIs such as Mapbox, Radar, HyperTrack, or similar ● Develop REST endpoints to create, update, retrieve, and delete geofences ● Implement webhook handlers or real-time listeners for enter/exit/dwell events ● Optimize accuracy and performance of real-time location tracking ● Create scalable backend architecture and database schema for location logging ● Coordinate with frontend/mobile team for testing and validation ● Provide technical documentation Required Skills :- ● Strong experience with Java & Spring Boot
