In short, this is the task I need help with: I have an Excel workbook with a macro developed for me which I need to be able to process my data much faster. A typical run will contain two rows with 7-800,000 cells being "analyzed/compared" to a number of variables and the result is presented in a separate sheet which I copy out before I paste in new rows manually and start a new run. Today, it can take more than one hour to do one single run with the Excel macro and I need another solution that can do that job much faster (maybe SQL or Python will do? - or anything you suggest) in addition to copy out (export) the results and paste in (import) new data and rerun over and over again automatically as long as it is data in the input sheet (maybe 40-50 times). I do not mind if you use a better application to do the job but the input and output must be in Excel. I am also planning to expand the number of variables I have today which would easy take my current Excel macro 3-4 hours per run, meaning a total of more than 150 hours of semi manual job which is not acceptable for me (I have several hundred of these). Is this something that would be within your area of expertise and if so, is the above enough info for you to give me a feedback/estimate or do you need more info?
