Job Scope: Editorial Writer / Proofreader (Sharing Economy Publication 2025) We are looking for an experienced writer/editorial professional to support the development of the Malaysia Sharing Economy Outlook 2025 publication. This role focuses only on the editorial and writing scope (design/layout will be handled separately). Key Responsibilities • Article Development & Editing • Work on 15 articles, each between 2,000–2,100 words. • Enhance clarity, flow, and overall readability of the write-ups. • Shape and fine-tune the narrative to make it engaging, compelling, and well-structured. • Copy Editing & Proofreading • Ensure correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. • Maintain consistency in style, tone, and formatting across all articles. • Apply track changes for full transparency in edits. • Line & Developmental Editing • Strengthen sentence-level clarity and impact. • Ensure smooth flow between sections and sub-themes. • Suggest improvements to enhance overall message delivery. • Editorial Collaboration • Align edits with project goals, deadlines, and messaging framework. • Incorporate feedback from the project team and revise drafts accordingly. • Deliver polished, ready-for-layout articles in MS Word format. Deliverables • 15 edited articles (2,000–2,100 words each) in Word format. • Consistency in editorial style and tone across all pieces. • Final drafts ready for publication handover. What We’re Looking For • Strong background in editorial writing, proofreading, and editing. • Experience with policy, economy, or government-related publications is a plus. • Ability to handle multiple articles with consistent quality. • Detail-oriented with a strong command of written English.
