RC Propeller Design – Engineering & CAD Needed I’m looking for an experienced designer to help me create a custom RC airplane propeller based on an existing high-performance prop (similar to a GM 10×6), with specific refinements to make it unique and optimized. Project goals Diameter: ~10" Pitch: ~6" (open to minor refinement) Improve efficiency and reduce noise at higher airspeeds Maintain strong launch / climb performance Suitable for electric glider use (F5J-style application) What I’m looking for Experience with propeller or airfoil-based designs (RC props, UAV props, or similar) Ability to modify: Airfoil section(s) Chord distribution Twist / pitch distribution Tip shape (noise reduction focus) Understanding of RPM, motor loading, and aerodynamic efficiency Deliverables Parametric CAD files (STEP preferred) STL suitable for prototyping Brief explanation of design choices Optional: simulation or analysis (BEM, CFD, or similar) if you offer it Material / use case Initial prototypes may be 3D printed Final intent is a stiff, high-efficiency prop comparable to carbon-fiber props in operation If you’ve designed RC props, UAV props, wings, or rotating aerodynamic parts before, please include examples or screenshots of past work.
