We are looking for an experienced Python developer to build an automated script that generates preview segments from adult VR video content. This project is for an adult website, so applicants must be comfortable working with adult material. The goal is to intelligently select engaging preview clips while avoiding unwanted video transition frames. Project Overview We currently generate video previews but need a more advanced solution that: Automatically selects multiple preview segments from different parts of a video Prioritises the most engaging sections of the video Detects and removes video transition frames from preview clips Outputs clean, ready-to-use preview videos Processes VR videos that are recorded in left-right (stereoscopic) format and generates previews using only one side of the VR video Examples of how the previews should look can be provided via our website. Key Requirements Develop a Python script that: Extracts preview segments from uploaded video files Processes VR left-right videos and outputs previews using only one side of the video Selects preview segments using the following logic: Limited segments from the first 50% of the video (build-up content) Majority of segments from the final 50% of the video (main action content) Transition Detection & Removal Identify timestamps where video transitions occur Prevent transition frames from appearing in preview segments ffmpeg or similar tools can be used if suitable Output Requirements Combine selected segments into a single preview file OR output separate segments (to be discussed) Maintain high video quality Ensure efficient processing for multiple videos Technical Preferences Strong Python experience Experience working with ffmpeg or video processing libraries Experience handling VR or stereoscopic video is a strong advantage Experience handling large video files efficiently Ability to write clean, well-documented, maintainable code Nice to Have Experience with automated content clipping or highlight generation Performance optimisation experience Deliverables Fully working Python script Documentation explaining setup and usage Ability to adjust preview logic via configuration Please include examples of similar video processing or automation work when applying.
