I’m looking for a Python-based data analyst/data scientist to help process and analyze motorsport telemetry data. The role focuses on data manipulation, math-based channel generation, anomaly checks, and producing clear Plotly visualizations. This is not a dashboard-building job—the work is task-based and processing-oriented. Motorsport or vehicle dynamics knowledge is a plus but not required. Example Types of Tasks (high-level): -Creating new calculated channels based on existing telemetry -Cleaning and correcting datasets using supporting channels -Detecting anomalies in time-series data -Identifying corner sections and driving phases -Combining datasets and aligning them -Comparing two datasets and highlighting key differences with Plotly Skills Needed: -Python (Pandas, NumPy, etc), Plotly -Comfortable with time-series data -Basic ML (scikit-learn) for simple classification or clustering -Ability to follow instructions and iterate based on feedback -Motorsport/Vehicle dynamics knowledge is a plus. Notes: -Clear explanations and some formulas will be provided. Tasks will be delivered step-by-step. -This is ongoing task-based work, so I’m looking for someone consistent rather than extremely specialized. -There is potential for additional tasks/projects if results are good. Please share any previous examples of data analysis work.
