I am building a privately owned retail group in Australia (supermarkets, fuel stations, food). PHASE 1 is POS only. Rewards, apps, warehousing, fleet cards, etc. are future phases and OUT OF SCOPE. I am looking for an experienced, vendor-neutral POS consultant (not a reseller) to help me: • Select the right POS system for Australian supermarkets and fuel/convenience • Design a simple, scalable POS setup • Ensure it works offline (very important) • Ensure it can later integrate with rewards, apps, and fuel systems • Explain options in plain English (non-technical) This is a planning and selection project — no coding required. POS REQUIREMENTS (PHASE 1): • Supermarket POS • Fuel / convenience POS • Works with multiple Pty entities • Local store server or cloud-hybrid • Offline mode • Australian tax compliance (GST, reporting) • Simple staff training • Scales from 1 store to 50+ stores OUT OF SCOPE (Future Phases): Rewards Delivery app Fleet cards Warehousing systems ERP DELIVERABLES: • POS system comparison (e.g. NCR, SAP, AccessPOS, Aronium, others) • Clear recommendation with pros & cons • Estimated setup and ongoing costs • Hardware recommendations • Rollout plan (1 store → multi-store) • Risks and limitations explained clearly This role is for independent POS consultants only — not vendor sales representatives.
