I’m kicking off the first release of a two-sided web platform that matches event organisers with potential sponsors. The goal of this engagement is to ship a production-ready MVP in 6–10 weeks, covering the core workflows end-to-end and leaving room for future feature layers once traction is proven. Core functionality to build • Secure email-and-password authentication for two roles—Organiser and Sponsor. • Profile creation that, at minimum, captures each user’s basic contact information; we’ll layer richer company or brand fields later. • Event module with scheduling and attendee-management tools so organisers can publish dates, venues, and keep tabs on interest. (Ticketing will be a future phase.) • Search, filter, and an “Express Interest” interaction that lets sponsors signal intent and opens a lightweight message thread. • Role-based dashboards summarising events, interests received/sent, and quick actions. • A lean admin panel to view users, events, and basic metrics. • Fully responsive UI so the experience feels native on mobile as well as desktop. • Cloud deployment (AWS, Vercel, or Render) with CI/CD, environment management, and hand-off documentation. Preferred tech stack Frontend: React with Next.js for SSR and routing. Backend: Node.js or Django—choose the one you’re fastest and cleanest with. Database: PostgreSQL or MySQL, designed for scalability and clear entity relationships. Quality expectations Clean, well-commented code, modular architecture, and test coverage for business-critical paths. I value thoughtful DB schema design, meaningful API naming, and lightweight documentation that lets another dev pick up the project without guesswork. Deliverables 1. Source code in a private Git repo with meaningful commit history. 2. Deployed MVP accessible via custom domain + staging environment. 3. Technical read-me covering setup, env variables, and deployment steps. 4. Short loom/walk-through video (≤10 min) demonstrating each finished feature. If this scope aligns with your expertise in marketplace or SaaS builds, let’s discuss your proposed timeline, approach, and fixed price.
