Multi-Platform Waste Collection App

I’m looking to have a single, responsive web application that runs smoothly in any modern browser on Windows desktops and can be installed as a progressive web app on both iOS and Android phones. Its entire purpose is to take the chaos out of our day-to-day waste collection operation and turn it into a streamlined, data-driven workflow. Core workflow • Route optimisation must calculate the most efficient sequence of stops and update drivers in real time when jobs are added, cancelled, or traffic changes. • A scheduling module should let office staff slot new pickups, set recurring jobs, and see driver capacity at a glance. • Daily schedule monitoring is essential so dispatch can watch every truck’s progress live and reassign work when needed. • Collection data recording—weight, volume, contamination notes, photos—has to sync instantly to the back-office database, even when drivers come back online after a dead-zone. • Analytics & reporting dashboards will turn all that data into KPI charts, cost per route breakdowns, and compliance logs exportable to Excel/PDF. • Customer management should hold contact details, service history, and billing references. • Separate areas for Products, Waste types, Redemption and Trading are required so we can track material sales and reward partners accurately. • A granular user-control system must let me create roles for drivers, dispatchers, managers, and auditors and decide exactly what each can see or edit. Tech + deliverables • Modern, scalable backend (Node.js, .NET Core, or Laravel/MySQL—open to your recommendation). • REST or GraphQL API so the mobile wrappers stay lightweight. • Responsive front-end (React, Vue, or Angular) that adjusts cleanly from 4-inch phone screens to large desktop monitors. • PWA packaging for iOS & Android with push notifications for new jobs or schedule changes. • Source code in a private repo, deployment scripts, and concise setup documentation are part of the hand-off. • A short UAT period where I can confirm route accuracy, offline data sync, and report outputs before final sign-off. If you’ve built logistics or field-service platforms before—and you’re comfortable owning the project from architecture to launch—let’s talk timelines and milestones.
