I have an existing set of gem5 results (multi-core) that need to be duplicated. Your first task is to re-create those numbers in gem5 using a homogeneous multi-core configuration (all cores identical) with up to three cache levels. Once the results agree, we will move on to iterative design work involving: • Caching algorithm changes • Bus and memory-system model updates (only as needed) For each iteration I will need clean, scripted runs, the raw statistics, and a brief summary of the performance or power impact so we can roll the data into a publication later. You will do the design/arch changes, handle the simulator builds, any Ruby tweaks inside gem5, and the batch-run automation. Deliverables per phase • Reproducible build scripts and config files for the baseline homogeneous multi-core system with L1/L2/L3 caches • Modified configs reflecting caching algorithm (and any other) changes • CSV or JSON dumps of gem5 stats plus a short markdown report highlighting the deltas • All source files and notes, transferred under NDA with full rights reverting to me on acceptance All work stays confidential, and you must be comfortable signing the NDA before receiving the current data set.
