I’m building an inquiry-led marketplace where the usual catalogue is flipped around: buyers post what they want to purchase, state their budget, and wait for sellers to pitch offers. The platform has to feel as familiar as any classifieds site yet be protected by a seamless escrow flow that only releases funds once the buyer confirms receipt. Core buyer-side flow • A “New Inquiry” form that captures the request, the buyer’s budget, and supports Image uploads, Category selection, and a Detailed description field. • After publishing, buyers can Edit advertisement, Cancel advertisement, or Share with social media at any time. • When a seller submits an offer the buyer can Confirm accepting offer, and once the good or service is delivered, Confirm receiving product/service, triggering escrow release. Seller-side essentials Sellers browse or filter live inquiries, message buyers, and send offers tied to the escrow system. No open listings are needed on their side; everything revolves around buyer ads. Escrow & workflow highlights Funds move into a holding account the moment a buyer accepts an offer. A dual confirmation (seller marks “sent”, buyer confirms “received”) releases the payment. Disputes should pause release and notify admin for manual resolution. Deliverables 1. A responsive web MVP (modern framework of your choice) implementing the flows above. 2. Admin dashboard for dispute handling and category management. 3. Clean, well-commented code plus setup instructions. If you’ve built peer-to-peer or escrow-based marketplaces before, I’d love to see your work and hear how you’d approach this build.
