I have a hand-made wooden prototype for a hockey stick handle that I now need replicated in a precise digital model so I can move on to professional prototyping and, eventually, production. The physical piece captures the exact ergonomics I want, so the CAD file must follow its contours and dimensions accurately. You are free to work in whichever platform you prefer—AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or any other—so long as the final model is exported cleanly. At minimum I need an STL file for rapid prototyping, and it would be ideal to also receive STEP, SLDPRT, or any of the other common exchange formats you already generate (3DMXL, 3MF, DXF, SAT, STP, PDF, etc.). Deliverables • High-fidelity, watertight 3D model of the handle • Mandatory export: STL • Nice-to-have exports: STEP and/or SLDPRT plus any additional formats you can supply • A quick screen-share or short write-up explaining key reference dimensions so I can verify them against the wooden original If you have access to 3D scanning, great—otherwise good caliper work and careful modelling is fine. I’m available to provide photos, rough sketches with measurements, and live video for clarification. Speed is appreciated, but accuracy comes first.
