We have an existing ATS (Applicant Tracking System) built using a no-code/AI framework (Emergent) with a working codebase available on GitHub. We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to take ownership of the project from: Code understanding → Bug fixing → Optimization → Deployment → Production readiness Scope of Work: 1. Code Review & Understanding Understand existing GitHub repository Identify issues in frontend, backend, and database Document current architecture in simple terms 2. Bug Fixing & Stability Fix all functional bugs Resolve UI/UX issues Ensure smooth workflows: Job creation Candidate pipeline Status updates Search & filtering 3. Feature Improvements (Basic) Improve dashboard usability Optimize loading speed Improve data handling (no crashes, proper validations) Fix broken flows (if any) 4. Backend & Database Optimization Clean up APIs Optimize database queries Ensure proper data relationships (Jobs, Candidates, Applications) 5. Deployment (VERY IMPORTANT) Deploy application to production (free/low-cost hosting preferred) Connect domain (we already own domain) Setup environment variables Ensure app runs live without errors 6. Basic Security & Production Readiness Implement basic authentication security Prevent common vulnerabilities Ensure stable performance for multiple users 7. Documentation & Handover Provide simple documentation: How to run locally How to deploy How to manage system Provide 1–2 support calls after delivery Tech Stack (Preferred) Node.js / Express React / Next.js MongoDB / Firebase / similar Experience working with existing codebases (must) Deliverables: Fully working ATS web application Live deployed version (production ready) Cleaned and optimized code Documentation + handover
