Project Title: Custom Family Tree Website & Mobile App (Static, Password-Protected, & Permanent Free Hosting) Project Description: I am looking for a skilled developer to build a multi-page, interactive family tree website and corresponding mobile apps for my family. I already own the domain on Namecheap and require a setup with zero recurring monthly/yearly hosting fees. The goal is a professional, private digital archive that I can manage personally after the initial build. Key Requirements: Structure & Visuals: A clean, "tree-like" visual interface that is easy to navigate. Individual profile pages for each family member including photos, birth/death dates, and detailed biographies. A multi-page layout (e.g., Home, Tree View, Media Gallery, Contact). Privacy & Access Control: Password Protection: The entire site must be password-protected. Admin Control: I must be able to enable/disable the password and change it whenever I want. Data Management: Only I should have the ability to add, edit, or delete data/photos. I prefer a system where I can update a simple file (CSV/JSON) or use a free-tier CMS (like Decap CMS or a Google Sheets integration). Hosting & Domain: Configure my Namecheap domain to point to a permanent free hosting provider (e.g., GitHub Pages, Netlify, or Cloudflare Pages). The setup must be a one-time fee to you; I do not want any monthly subscriptions for hosting or site builders. Mobile Apps (Android & iOS): Deliver the website as a Progressive Web App (PWA) so family members can "Add to Home Screen" for free. Provide the source code/files for a WebView Wrapper (using Capacitor or similar) for both Android and iOS. Note: I am aware of the App Store/Google Play registration fees and will handle those accounts separately if I choose to publish. Technical Deliverables: A fully functional, mobile-responsive website live on my custom domain. Full administrative access to all accounts (GitHub/Netlify, etc.) and source code. A simple "User Manual" or video walkthrough showing me how to: Add/edit family members and photos. Change the site password. Update the mobile app if I change the website content. Ideal Candidate: You should have experience with Static Site Generators (Hugo, Jekyll, Next.js), CSS for custom tree visualizations, and experience deploying to free static hosting platforms.
