ERPNext Customization Requirement: Late Arrival Policy Automation. We need customization in ERPNext to implement the following Late Arrival & Leave Deduction Policy. 1. Office Timing - Office start time: 9:00 AM - Late arrival types: - Soft Late: Arrival before 9:06 AM - Hard Late: Arrival at or after 9:06 AM 2. Monthly Allowances - Each employee gets: - 2 Soft Late allowances (no penalty) - 2 Hard Late allowances (no penalty) - Soft Lates beyond 2 → automatically converted to Hard Lates. - Important: Allowances do NOT reduce the hard late count. - Example: If an employee has 3 hard lates, ERPNext should treat it as 3 hard lates, not 1. 3. Hard Late Counting & Deduction Rules - Deduction formula: Every 3 Hard Lates = 1 Day Leave Deduction - Fractions should carry forward to the next month. Example: - 5 hard lates → 1 day leave deduction + 2 carried forward - 8 hard lates → 2 days leave deduction + 2 carried forward 4. Leave Balance & Salary Deduction Logic - When leave deduction is calculated: - Deduct from available leave balance first. - If leave balance is insufficient: - Remaining deduction → salary deduction for the required number of days. - If leave balance = 0, entire deduction becomes a salary deduction. Examples: - Employee has 6 hard lates → 2 days deduction Leave balance = 1 → Leave becomes 0, and 1 day salary is deducted. - Employee has 3 hard lates and no leave balance → 1 full day salary deduction. 5. System Requirements - ERPNext should automatically: - Track daily in/out time and classify as Soft Late or Hard Late. - Convert excess soft late to hard late. - Maintain the monthly hard late counter. - Calculate: - Allowed late arrivals - Total hard late count - Leave deductions - Carry-forward hard late balance - Deduct leave automatically at month-end. - Deduct salary automatically if leave is insufficient. - Provide a monthly report per employee. To clarify further, 7 sample test cases have been shown in the attached PDF along with a sample late deduction table.
