I’m looking to deploy an AI-driven voice assistant that completely handles our dental clinic’s appointment desk from end to end. The solution must be able to schedule, reschedule, and cancel bookings in real time, then write those changes straight back to our clinic management system (full read-and-write access to the appointment tables is essential). On top of that core functionality, the assistant should confidently reply to typical patient questions covering treatment options, current clinic hours, and insurance or billing matters, so staff no longer have to field the same inquiries repeatedly. Although the agent’s primary interface will be voice, it also needs to reach patients via SMS and email for confirmations, follow-up information, and automated reminders. I expect these notifications to trigger instantly whenever an appointment is created, moved, or deleted, and again at preset reminder intervals. Round-the-clock availability is non-negotiable; patients must be able to interact with the system 24/7 without noticing downtime or lag. Seamless hand-off to a human team member should still be possible for the rare edge case the assistant can’t solve.
