I run planetalmas.com.au, a jewellery e-commerce store using woo-commerce ipen source platform, where each item’s price must follow the international gold market. Manually editing every SKU is no longer practical, so I need a small integration that: • Pulls the current gold spot price directly from Webstock once every day (their API or a dependable scrape, whichever is more stable). • Recalculates every product’s price by multiplying the retrieved rate with the item’s weight attribute and our existing markup formula. I will provide the formula. Gold price adjustment will be calculated agains the weight attribute, which is standard part of woo-commerce product attributes. • Pushes the updated figures site-wide and shows the live rate prominently on the homepage so customers always see today’s gold price. • Includes a simple admin setting where I can adjust the markup percentage without touching code. • Is fully tested in a staging environment before going live. A lightweight cron job or scheduled serverless function is fine; the site is open to PHP, Python or Node as long as the process is reliable, well-documented and easy to maintain. Once you’re done I’ll verify that: 1. The homepage widget shows the same number that Webstock displays for that day. 2. All product prices refresh automatically at the next scheduled run. 3. No other storefront feature is affected. Provide the script, any new theme snippets, installation notes and a quick walkthrough video or screenshots so future updates are straightforward.
