Overview This project proposes the development of an intelligent web-based platform that processes drone-captured videos from a 90° (top-down) angle to automatically: Count the total number of animals in the herd, and Estimate the individual and total live weight of each animal with a margin of error below 5 %. The goal is to provide farmers and livestock companies with a reliable, non-invasive tool for stock control and production monitoring — eliminating the need for corrals, scales, or physical handling. --- Recommended Recording Conditions To ensure accurate results, videos must meet the following specifications: Camera angle: 90° (completely perpendicular to the ground). Flight altitude: between 8 m and 20 m, depending on herd size and drone type. Static flight: during recording, the drone must remain as still as possible, avoiding lateral movement or rotation. > Any movement changes image scale and perspective, which can affect weight-estimation precision. Recommended duration: between 15 and 45 seconds per herd. Minimum resolution: Full HD (1920 × 1080 px). Shutter speed: high enough to avoid motion blur. Lighting: natural daylight, avoiding strong shadows or reflections. Videos can be uploaded directly to the platform or processed via cloud storage links (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox). --- Processing and Results The platform uses advanced computer-vision and AI models trained on bovine morphology.
