Project: Period Pain Relief Heat Patch Prototype I’m looking for a skilled product designer to help me develop a new, innovative period pain relief product for women. The concept is a self-adhesive, natural, sustainable heat patch designed to provide effective and discreet relief throughout the day. What I’m envisioning: Ultra-thin, streamlined design – invisible under clothing, even fitted workwear like pencil skirts. Long-lasting heat – minimum 6 hours of steady, safe warmth. Skin-safe adhesive – hypoallergenic, gentle on sensitive skin and hair, stays secure but removes painlessly. Discreet tones – a range of skin-tone shades (4–5 options) so the patch can blend under light or sheer clothing. Limited editions & patterns – special seasonal/cute designs for at-home use (e.g., Christmas editions). Scented & unscented options – scented patches infused with calming aromatherapy oils such as lavender for relaxation. Sustainable & natural focus – materials sourced responsibly, with eco-friendly packaging. Key requirements: Experience in product design (health & wellness focus preferred). Strong knowledge of materials science for safety, comfort, and adhesion. Understanding of heating elements and safe thermal technology. Ability to design for comfort, discretion, and usability in daily life. A sensitivity to the needs of women’s health products (ideally female designers, though not required). Nice to have: Previous experience with wearable medical/wellness devices. Knowledge of sustainable manufacturing methods. Creative flair for designing limited edition aesthetics. This project will begin with creating a prototype that meets these design goals, with the potential for further collaboration as we move into testing and production. If this sounds like the right fit for you, please share examples of similar projects you’ve worked on, especially those involving adhesive wearables, wellness products, or heating technologies.
