We are looking for an experienced developer to support an existing application that integrates with Google Gmail APIs to securely read user emails with their permission. Key Requirement: Strong knowledge of Google CASA (Cloud Application Security Assessment) compliance and implementation is mandatory. Role Responsibilities: Implement and maintain Gmail API integration to read user emails securely (with OAuth consent). Ensure the application meets Google CASA security requirements for restricted scopes. Configure and manage OAuth verification process and assist in Google security review. Deploy, monitor, and maintain backend services on AWS infrastructure. Implement secure data handling, encryption, and access control aligned with CASA guidelines. Work with existing codebase to fix compliance gaps and optimize performance. Required Skills: - Strong experience with Google Workspace APIs (especially Gmail API). - Hands-on experience with CASA Tier 2 / Restricted Scope Verification process. - Deep understanding of: -- OAuth 2.0 Authorization Flow -- Google Cloud Console configuration -- Secure token storage & access policies - Experience deploying applications on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, etc.) - Knowledge of application security best practices (encryption, audit logging, least-privilege access). - Experience preparing documentation required for Google Security Assessment. Good to Have: - Prior experience completing Google App Verification / CASA audit. - Familiarity with compliance standards (SOC2, ISO27001, etc.). - Backend development experience (Node.js / Python / Java).
