We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps engineer or specialist team to assist with the deployment, migration, and ongoing infrastructure management of multiple web platforms. This is a serious, ongoing engagement — not a one-off task — and we are looking for a true technical partner, not just a contractor. Project Overview We have four web platforms that need to be consolidated, deployed, and correctly configured on a single, well-organised AWS account. The platforms are primarily built with Python (Flask), and all source code is managed through GitHub. Scope of Work The scope of work includes the following tasks: - Migrate one live platform currently hosted on Hostinger to our existing AWS account, including all application files, databases, and environment configuration. - Deploy one platform currently in a GitHub repository to the same AWS account. This platform has not yet been live-hosted and requires a full initial deployment setup. - Consolidate one platform currently running on a separate AWS server onto the same AWS account as the above, resulting in a total of four platforms hosted on a single, well-organised AWS account. Configure CI/CD pipelines between all platforms and their respective GitHub repositories, so that code pushed to GitHub automatically deploys to the correct AWS environment with zero manual intervention. Audit and optimise the AWS account configuration to maximise resource efficiency, ensure appropriate service selection, and minimise ongoing running costs. Install and configure SSL/TLS security certificates on all platforms, ensuring they are correctly set up and configured for automatic renewal. Provide post-completion support — we expect the successful candidate to remain available for questions, troubleshooting, and assistance after project handover. This has the potential to transition into a paid ongoing support retainer. Required Skills & Experience Expert-Level AWS Knowledge: Proven, extensive experience with AWS services, particularly EC2, S3, RDS, SES, Route 53, IAM, and security groups. Please provide specific examples of past AWS migration and deployment projects in your bid. Server Administration & DevOps: Strong background in Linux server administration, web server configuration (Nginx preferred), and CI/CD pipeline setup (GitHub Actions preferred). Application & Database Migration: Demonstrable experience migrating live web applications and databases between hosting providers, with zero or minimal downtime. Python & Flask Experience: Experience deploying and managing Python (Flask) web applications on AWS is highly desirable, as this is the primary technology used across our platforms. Security Best Practices: A thorough understanding of web application security, SSL/TLS certificate management, firewall configuration, and AWS security groups. Excellent Communication: Must be fluent in English and able to provide clear, concise updates and documentation. Regular communication is not optional — it is a core requirement of this engagement and a deal-breaker if it does not happen consistently. Bonus: Familiarity with React or Next.js for front-end deployment is a welcome addition. PHP experience is not required for this project.
