I need my recurring reports to write themselves inside Google Docs. At the moment I copy-paste numbers and paragraphs from multiple sources; the goal now is a single click (or timed trigger) that assembles a complete, styled report ready to share as a Google Doc or exported PDF. The workflow I have in mind relies on Google Apps Script: pull data from one or more Google Sheets, drop it into a pre-defined template, update charts or tables, then rename and store the finished file in a chosen Drive folder. Feel free to suggest additional Google Workspace tools—such as dynamic charts, Slides exports, or Gmail automation—if they streamline the process. Deliverables I expect: • A master template in Google Docs with placeholders for every variable section. • Clean, well-commented Apps Script that generates the report on demand or on a schedule. • Brief usage notes so I can edit the template or update the data source later without breaking the automation. A test run that produces one sample report from dummy data will serve as acceptance; if it looks identical to the template with all fields filled in correctly, the job is done.
