I need a clean, native Android application that works as a focused productivity tool centred solely on task management. The core flow is simple: users create tasks, edit them, mark them complete, and view an always-updated list of what still needs attention. Fast load times, smooth transitions and a clutter-free Material-compliant UI matter more to me than a long feature checklist. Key features and behaviours • Add, edit, archive and delete tasks locally (Room or Realm preferred, but I’m open if you can justify another lightweight on-device store). • Optional grouping or tag system so users can sort their list quickly. • Swipe or long-press gestures for common actions. • Due-date picker with basic notifications. Push is not required at launch; local alerts are fine. • Dark / light themes that follow system settings. A polished MVP is the goal, yet I’d like the codebase structured so future upgrades—calendar integration or shared task assignment—can slot in without major rewrites (clean architecture, modular packages, clear use-case layers). Deliverables • Signed APK ready for Play Store internal testing • Full source (Kotlin preferred) with concise README and build instructions • One paragraph of guidance on how to extend the data layer for cloud sync later I will test on Android 10 through 14, so please stay within the current SDK levels and follow Google Play’s policy requirements. If anything is unclear, just ask before writing code so we avoid rework.
