Aluminum Battery Rack & Ring Frames

I have an autonomous underwater vehicle with confirmed internal and external envelope dimensions, and a set of pressure-compensated batteries whose geometry is already locked in. What I need now is a clean, build-ready mechanical design that lets those batteries sit securely inside the vehicle while also adding a series of aluminum ring frames that brace the composite outer hull. All dimensions, mounting constraints and the hull laminate schedule will be supplied as soon as we start. Because I do not yet have any detailed drawings for the rack or the frames, this is a true ground-up exercise: model the parts, make sure clearances are respected, and give me files that a machine shop can go straight to. Key points • Material: 6061-T6 (or similar) aluminum throughout, in keeping with the rest of the vehicle structure. • Function: The rack’s sole job is to support the batteries; the ring frames tie the hull together and provide local stiffening for payload inserts. • Environment: Sub-sea, pressure compensated, so all cut-outs, fasteners and drain holes must respect that. • Data I will provide: Brochure of the battery pack, the current AUV internal volume. Deliverables 1. Parametric CAD models and 2-D manufacturing drawings in STEP and PDF. 2. A short design note summarizing material specs, minimum factors of safety you assumed, and any recommended assembly sequence. 3. If you run an FEA check, include the results; otherwise leave the model set up so one can be run easily. I’m ready to supply files immediately and can answer questions quickly, so let’s get this design wrapped up and into the machine shop.
