I need an experienced software developer to build a proprietary trading platform from scratch. The single non-negotiable requirement is fully automated trading: the application must connect to major brokers or exchanges via their APIs, stream live quotes, and place, modify, and cancel orders in real time according to rule-based strategies that I will supply. Low-latency execution is critical, so an event-driven architecture, asynchronous I/O, and robust error handling are expected. Python (asyncio, FastAPI, pandas) or C++ are my preferred stacks, yet I’m open to alternatives if you can demonstrate equal or better performance. The code should be modular, letting me swap or edit strategies without touching the order-routing core. Please include: • Source code and clean build/run instructions • Technical documentation covering architecture, APIs, and how to add or edit strategies • A demonstration script that executes automated trades on a sandbox account Acceptance criteria: • End-to-end automated order cycle completes in under 150 ms round-trip on a demo feed • Strategy parameters can be tweaked at runtime and persist between sessions • No fatal errors during a 24-hour paper-trading burn-in Real-time market data ingestion and user authentication are not required for this initial release, but the design should leave a clear path for adding them later.
