We are looking for an experienced Python developer with AI/ML and scientific computing expertise to support the development of an AI-based virtual drug discovery and development platform. Scope of Work The freelancer will assist with: Python-based backend development for scientific workflows Integration of public biomedical databases (e.g., NCBI, PubChem) via APIs Development of data processing pipelines for molecular, biological, and chemical data Implementation of AI/ML models Mathematical and statistical modeling (including use of constants like π where required) Code optimization, modularization, and documentation Support for cloud or Replit-based deployment without disturbing existing systems Technical Requirements Strong proficiency in Python Experience with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn) Familiarity with scientific libraries (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas) Experience working with REST APIs Understanding of cheminformatics or bioinformatics (RDKit preferred) Clean, well-documented, production-quality code Preferred (Nice to Have) Experience in drug discovery, biotech, or healthcare AI Knowledge of molecular modeling or simulation Experience with FastAPI / Flask Biology Biopython, Pandas Chemistry RDKit AI/ML PyTorch, TensorFlow Generative AI DeepChem Simulation OpenMM Data NumPy (π math), SciPy APIs FastAPI Deployment Docker, AWS Experience with Replit or cloud deployments Deliverables Well-structured Python modules API integration code Documentation and usage instructions Support during testing and integration Engagement Type Freelance / contract-based Remote Long-term collaboration possible for the right candidate
