Description: We are looking for a developer or team to build a modern warehouse inventory management system with an online order-picking interface that feels and functions like an Amazon-style shopping cart. The system should allow warehouse staff and clients to: View real-time inventory by product, location, and status (available, reserved, in transit). Search, filter, and select items in a clean, responsive interface similar to online shopping platforms. Add items to an “order cart” for internal picking or customer fulfillment. Generate digital pick lists that guide warehouse staff through optimized picking routes. Track order status (Pending, In Progress, Completed, Shipped). Handle multiple warehouses and user roles (Admin, Picker, Customer). Integrate with our logistics and customs system (Border Flow / Route AI) via API to sync shipment data and automate updates. Support barcode and QR code scanning using smart devices (phones, tablets). Allow taking and uploading product or shipment pictures directly from smart devices. Enable SKU lookup, batch tracking, and item validation during picking and packing. Include inventory receiving and put-away functions with QR/barcode validation. Manage outbound shipments, packing lists, and dispatch confirmations. Provide dashboards and reports for inventory levels, turnover, receiving, and order completion. UI/UX Goal: The design should be intuitive, modern, and mobile-friendly, inspired by Amazon’s simplicity and ease of use, but tailored for internal warehouse operations and B2B customers. Preferred Tech Stack: Frontend: React / Next.js Backend: Node.js / Express Database: PostgreSQL or MongoDB Integrations: REST or GraphQL APIs (for Border Flow / Route AI backend) Deliverables: Fully functional web application (desktop + tablet + mobile) API documentation Admin dashboard QR/Barcode scanning and photo capture modules Receiving and outbound shipment modules Source code in GitHub with setup instructions
