I have an Excel file with roughly 2,200 contacts that I need converted to Google Sheets and merged through my Gmail account. The campaign is already written in a single template that includes text plus a few inline images. Each message must be moderately personalised—first-name plus one or two column-specific details—so the merge has to pull the right fields automatically. Key steps I expect: 1. Import the Excel data into Google Sheets, check for bad characters or formatting issues, and add any extra columns needed for personalisation. 2. Configure the mail-merge (Yet Another Mail Merge, Mailmeteor, GMass, a custom Apps Script—whichever you prefer as long as it runs inside Gmail). 3. Insert my template, map the merge tags, and embed the images so they display correctly on all clients. 4. Schedule or throttle the send-out to stay within Gmail’s daily limits and avoid any spam flags. 5. Provide a quick test to a small segment for verification, then send the remaining emails.
