Core Technical Requirements & Integrations This is the primary development focus. POD API Integrations: Connect and sync with the following platforms: Printful.com Printbest.com Printify.com Product Import & Sync: Automatically import product catalogs (items, variants, prices) from the integrated APIs. Ensure stock and price updates are reflected on the site. Product Designer Tool: Install, configure, and integrate the Lumise Product Designer for WooCommerce. This is critical for allowing customers to customize products. Multilingual Setup: Translating all theme strings, product descriptions, and static pages. Ensuring a seamless language-switching experience. 2. Design & User Experience (UX) The goal is an "eye-catching and impressive" storefront. Theme: Customize the supplied Porto Theme (https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto_landing/) to match our brand identity (logo, color scheme, fonts). ey Pages to Design: Homepage: Modern layout featuring hero banners, featured products, promotional sections, and clear call-to-actions. Shop/Category Pages: Intuitive layout with robust filtering (by product type, color, etc.), sorting, and clear product grids. Product Pages: High-conversion template with: High-quality image gallery. Clear "Start Designing" button (Lumise integration). Detailed descriptions and key features. Customer reviews section. Cart & Checkout: Streamlined, minimal-step process to reduce abandonment. Ensure it's fully bilingual. Contact Page: Functional contact form and display of business information. 3. Functional Setup & Configuration WooCommerce Basics: Configure core settings including: Currency (CAD, USD, etc.) Tax rates (for applicable regions). Shipping zones and methods (to be aligned with POD provider capabilities). Payment Gateways: Set up and test secure payment methods (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). Performance & SEO: Implement caching (e.g., WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache) for fast page loads. Ensure all product pages and content are SEO-optimized (meta titles, descriptions, alt tags). Guarantee a fully responsive design that works perfectly on all devices (mobile, tablet, desktop). Proposed Development Workflow Kickoff & Discovery: Meeting to confirm all requirements, access to APIs (keys), and design preferences. Environment Setup: Set up a development/staging site. Install WordPress, WooCommerce, and required plugins. Core Development Phase: Implement POD API integrations and test product import/sync. Install and configure Lumise Product Designer. Install and configure WPML for bilingual structure. Design & Theming Phase: Customize the Porto theme based on the approved design for all key pages.
