I’m building a workflow around the WhatsApp Business API that can take over three key parts of my daily debt-recovery routine: 1. Automatically send payment reminders at scheduled intervals. 2. Answer inbound questions so clients instantly know how much they owe, where to pay, or who to contact. 3. Log every reply and payment confirmation to keep each account’s status up to date. Every outgoing message must be fully personalized—each debtor should see their own name, the exact outstanding amount, and the agreed-upon due date pulled straight from my records before the text is dispatched. Core expectations and deliverables • An API-driven script or micro-service (Python, Node.js, or similar) that connects to the official WhatsApp Business API or WhatsApp Cloud API. • Secure data hookup to my existing ledger (CSV, database, or Google Sheet—whichever you prefer once we discuss) so the personalization fields stay accurate. • Webhooks or a lightweight dashboard that shows whether a reminder was delivered, read, and whether the payment flag has flipped to “settled.” • Simple intent handling for the most common inbound queries (“How much do I owe?”, “Send payment link”, “Payment made”) with clear, editable response templates. • Step-by-step deployment notes so I can rerun or extend the system without guesswork. Acceptance criteria — Messages trigger, populate name / amount / due-date correctly, and appear in the WhatsApp chat thread. — Incoming “paid” confirmations instantly update the status field in the data source. — All API keys and credentials remain in environment variables and never hard-coded. With those pieces in place I’ll be able to focus on follow-ups that genuinely need a human touch while everything routine happens automatically.
