I’m running a Joomla site that already relies on a heavily customised copy of the VikAppointments component. Everything works, but the current calendar view is too limited for our users. I need a selection of days per month in another color to show that this are special days. Speed is critical—I’d like to see an initial working version as soon as possible, without breaking any of the existing customisations. You’ll be diving into PHP, JavaScript / jQuery and the component’s MVC structure, so comfort with reading and extending someone else’s code is a must. All work has to stay upgrade-safe and fully compatible with the current Joomla and VikAppointments versions we run. Deliverables • Calendar view extended with color to highlight the special days, when one of these days is selected we need a special popup to show a message. • Seamless front-end behaviour (AJAX preferred) with no performance hit • Clean, documented code that respects prior overrides and template layouts • Brief hand-off note explaining changed files and how to adjust the filters in future I’m ready to give access and answer questions right away so we can move quickly.
