Project: Tracking Audit & Verification – TikTok Pixel Integration About Us: We are a hospitality business with two locations (Sweden and UK). We run paid ads on Meta, Google, and TikTok. Background & Problem: We recently integrated TikTok Pixel via Google Tag Manager (GTM). Following this integration, we noticed that our Meta and Google tracking was negatively affected: • In Meta Events Manager, browser events started exceeding server events (124 browser vs 77 server events), which is incorrect. Previously the data was balanced and server events were slightly higher due to Conversions API – as expected. • The root cause appeared to be that TikTok's GTM integration automatically added two extra GA4 tags (GA4_Config and GA4_Event), which conflicted with our existing Google Tag setup, causing double-firing. • Additionally, TikTok Pixel was installed both in GTM and hardcoded in WordPress (via WPCode), creating a duplicate pixel installation. What Has Been Done: • The two conflicting TikTok GA4 tags have been paused/removed in GTM • The duplicate pixel installation has been addressed • TikTok Events API has also been added server-side What We Need: We are looking for a freelancer to: 1. Audit the current tracking setup across GTM (client-side and server-side), Meta Events Manager, Google Analytics GA4, and TikTok Events Manager 2. Verify that the fixes have resolved the issue (browser vs server event balance in Meta) 3. Confirm there is no double-firing of pixels across our two websites 4. Check that TikTok Events API (server-side) is not duplicating events from the client-side pixel 5.
