Project Overview: I’m developing a desktop tool to help manage subcontract administration in the construction industry, particularly for steelwork contractors. The tool will generate and review email replies based on the relevant contract clauses (main or subcontract), depending on who the reply is being sent to. How I Work: I’ll provide all the industry knowledge, contract logic, and process workflows — but I’m looking for a developer to work with me collaboratively to build this system. This is not a fire-and-forget project. I’m hoping for someone who can: • Work through things with me step by step • Offer technical suggestions and improvements • Help shape the best possible long-term solution I’m technical enough to follow logic, test features, and help design the workflow — but I’ll rely on your experience to help us get it built right. Core Features We’ll Build Together: 1. Manual Email Entry + Status Tracking • Emails entered manually per project • Status tracked as Pending, Approved, Sent 2. AI-Generated Replies via OpenAI • Use GPT to generate draft replies • If replying to the client → reference main contract • If replying to a subcontractor → reference subcontract (and main if needed) 3. Project & Contract Management • Manage multiple projects • Link PDF contracts to each project • Import clauses manually or from CSV 4. Clause Manager • Manually add/edit/delete clauses per project • Search and manage contract language 5. Local Storage & Security • SQLite database (fully offline) • File paths for contracts stored locally • No cloud features What I’m Looking For: • Someone who enjoys building practical tools • Happy to communicate during development • Brings experience and ideas to the table • Open to working iteratively — feature by feature
