I already have the sensor-enabled trash bins in place; what I still need is the Android side that turns their data into timely, actionable notifications. The single purpose of this first release is clear: whenever a bin signals it is ready for emptying, the user’s phone should display a push notification through the mobile app—no email or SMS for now. Here is what I expect delivered: • A lightweight Android app (Android 8.0+) able to register devices, subscribe to a specific bin ID or topic, and receive push notifications in real time. • A simple dashboard screen listing connected bins with their latest status (full, cleared, battery low, etc.). • Code for the notification gateway or integration instructions if you prefer to hook into Firebase Cloud Messaging or a comparable service. • Clean, well-commented Kotlin or Java source and a short read-me so I can compile and deploy the APK myself. Once I confirm the app reliably shows the smart waste disposal notifications sent from my test server, the project is complete.
