Job Description We are looking for a skilled Freelance Android Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Android Studio, Kotlin/Java, and API integration, with the ability to work independently and deliver reliable, scalable solutions. This is a remote freelance role, suitable for developers who can communicate clearly, meet deadlines, and follow best coding practices. Responsibilities Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries Convert UI/UX designs (Figma/Adobe XD) into functional Android layouts Implement features such as: Login & authentication Dashboard & bottom navigation API-based data handling Location tracking (GPS) Background services & notifications Debug, fix crashes, and optimize app performance Ensure compatibility across different Android versions and devices Work with backend developers to ensure smooth API communication Prepare signed APK / AAB files for release Follow MVVM / Clean Architecture best practices Use Git for version control Required Skills Strong knowledge of Android SDK Proficiency in Kotlin (preferred) or Java Experience with: Android Studio XML layouts Fragments & Activities RecyclerView, Navigation Components API integration using Retrofit / Volley Firebase (Auth, FCM, Analytics) – optional but preferred Knowledge of background services, permissions, and notifications Understanding of Play Store policies and app publishing process Preferred Qualifications Experience with live location tracking apps Familiarity with WebView-based Android apps Experience in attendance, tracking, ERP, or business apps Knowledge of Jetpack libraries Ability to suggest technical improvements and optimizations Deliverables Fully functional Android application Clean, well-documented source code Signed APK / AAB for Play Store or internal distribution Bug-free, tested build Post-delivery support (if agreed) Project Duration Short-term or long-term (depending on performance) Immediate start preferred
