Simple Maya & Houdini Effects

I’ve put together a short educational piece and now need a set of clean, visually engaging particle effects to illustrate a few key concepts. The work will be handled in Maya and Houdini—whichever package best suits each shot—but the final renders must sit comfortably together in one cohesive look. Here’s what I’m after: light-weight, readable particle simulations (think dust swirls, energy wisps, or abstract reveals) that clearly demonstrate cause-and-effect for students who are learning how simulations work. Nothing overly destructive or fluid-heavy; just elegant, purposeful particles that can be broken down step-by-step during my lesson. Please show examples of your past work that relate directly to particle setups, especially if you’ve already passed projects through both Maya and Houdini pipelines. A short reel or a few stills with notes on how you built the systems is perfect—I don’t need a detailed proposal at this stage. I’ll supply storyboards, shot timings, and any color references as soon as we start. Final deliverables are play-blasts for review and then the cleaned-up project files with neatly labeled node networks so I can walk students through them. If that sounds straightforward, I’d love to see what you’ve done and get this rolling right away.
