I have several months of raw sales data that need two things: careful entry into a tidy, consistent format and an initial analytical pass that highlights what the numbers are saying. The files currently live in a mix of spreadsheets and CSVs; once they’re cleaned and merged, I’d like concise summaries—think pivot-style tables, clear charts, and a short narrative on any standout patterns you notice. Scope • Enter and standardise all sales records (dates, SKUs, quantities, prices, discounts, customer IDs). • Flag and resolve obvious errors or duplicates. • Produce an organised master sheet (Excel or Google Sheets) plus a CSV export. • Run the first round of analysis on the cleaned sales data: totals by period, product, region, or any other angle that jumps out. • Share the workbook, visuals, and a brief insight report so I can decide what to explore next. Tools are flexible—Excel, Google Sheets, or Python with pandas all work for me, and data-viz in Power BI or Tableau is a bonus. Accuracy in data entry comes first; clear, actionable findings come right after.
