I need to breathe new life into an existing product by modifiying existing plasctic mold without starting from scratch. The product currently houses a 5.7-inch TFT, but we’re moving to a 10.2-inch display, so the cavity has to grow in all the right places while still matching the original datum points that interface with the rest of the unit. Alongside the size change, I have a fresh exterior look in mind and a revised mechanism that will make assembly quicker on the line. I already have rough hand-drawn sketches showing the new front fascia, the updated internal bosses and clips, and the way the larger TFT will sit. What I need from you is a 3D rendered image and a full 3-D CAD redesign (SolidWorks or similar) based on the existing design data. Deliverables: • Updated 3-D part • Annotated 2-D drawings highlighting all changed dimensions and tolerances • 3D rendered image. • Quick BOM of any new fasteners or hardware required for the revised assembly I’m ready to share the current design files and the sketches as soon as we start.
