I’m building a responsive website that streams real-time stock prices for everyday investors who want quick, reliable market snapshots without digging through professional terminals. The core of the project is a clean, fast front-end fed by a robust market-data API or websocket feed—think IEX Cloud, Alpha Vantage, Polygon, or a similar source you’re comfortable with integrating. Key deliverables • Live stock ticker that updates in real time and can be embedded across pages • Interactive historical data charts with zoom, date-range selectors, and basic technical overlays (SMA, EMA) • Stock comparison tool allowing users to place two to four symbols side-by-side on both price and percentage change over user-defined periods I’ll supply the domain, branding assets, and hosting environment. You’ll handle: – Selecting and wiring the real-time data feed (ideally with fallback handling) – Building a mobile-first UI in React, Vue, or plain JavaScript—whatever you can ship fastest while keeping performance under 2-second initial load – Basic user preference storage (client-side is fine for now) so visitors can save tickers they follow – Clear documentation on how to maintain or extend the data connections and front-end components Acceptance criteria 1. Ticker latency under two seconds from data source to browser. 2. Charts accurately reflect the API’s historical endpoint within a 0.5% tolerance when cross-checked. 3. Comparison view loads and renders four tickers simultaneously without pushing page load above three seconds on 4G. 4. All code delivered in a Git repo with README setup steps and comments. If you’ve shipped a similar financial or live-data project, send me a link or short demo. I’m ready to start as soon as I find the right fit.
