Structure of your Literature Review Cover page (student number, title, module details, word count). Contents page (you can also include an acknowledgment page, if you wish). Introduction and Rationale for the Literature Review (400 words) Introduce your Literature Review. The section should state what your question is and why it is important for your profession, especially the provision of an evidence-based answer to your question. State how might know your Literature Review might improve clinical practice. Method used for the Literature Review (800 words) This is an account of the search strategy used to scope and retrieve research literature for review, demonstrating a comprehensive approach. It should contain sufficient detail and information for the search to be replicable. The following should be evident: • Databases searched. • Search terms used including keywords and subject headings • Number of hits obtained from your search.
