Optimize High-Volume WordPress Performance

I maintain a WordPress installation with roughly 50 000 published pages running on the following stack: • AX52 Basic server – AMD Ryzen 7 7700 (SMT), 64 GB DDR5, dual 1 TB Gen4 NVMe • LiteSpeed Web Server + PHP FPM • Litespeed Cache with Perfmetters already active Two critical issues slow the site down: 1. Pages regularly display a “busy” message and load only after a manual refresh. 2. Several plugins—most notably my theme’s Customizer—crash because they hit memory limits. I need someone to inspect and rebalance all relevant server-, PHP- and LiteSpeed-level parameters, then fine-tune WordPress so it can comfortably serve tens of thousands of pages without timing out or exhausting memory. Scope of work • Audit current LiteSpeed, PHP, Redis and database settings against the site’s page volume. • Adjust CPU process limits, worker counts, opcode cache, memory limits, and any LiteSpeed directives causing stalls. • Identify any plugin or theme bottlenecks; recommend upgrades or safe replacements where configuration alone is insufficient. • Verify that the theme Customizer and other previously failing plugins operate normally after optimisation. • Supply a clear change log and rollback notes once tuning is complete. Delivery & verification • Provide the updated configuration files and a concise report explaining each change. • Demonstrate that page loads no longer show the busy message under a standard load-test scenario and that memory-related plugin failures are resolved. • Offer brief post-implementation guidance so I can maintain these settings over time. If you have deep experience with LiteSpeed-based WordPress hosting at scale, I’d love to hear how you would tackle this and how quickly you can start.
