I’m looking to bring a full-time concept artist into our studio, someone who thrives on creating photo-real environments and assets and can step in with solid matte-painting techniques. Your visuals will set the tone for our projects, so an eye for light, depth, and texture is essential. Everything happens on site; you’ll be sitting side-by-side with our lighting design consultants so that sketches, paint-overs, and final matte plates reflect the exact illumination plans they develop. Quick turnaround dialogue with them is part of the daily routine, so clear communication and the ability to iterate in real time matter just as much as raw artistic skill. While concept work is the core of the role, I also need you to handle straightforward video edits—mostly cutting and trimming footage for pitch reels and internal reviews. If you’re comfortable inside Premiere (or a comparable NLE) and can keep edits clean and organized, that’s perfect. No heavy VFX or grading pipelines—just efficient assembly and export. Key tools in our workflow include Photoshop, a tablet-based paint setup, and Premiere. Experience with 3D-to-2D paint-overs or camera-projection matte techniques is a plus, but not mandatory.
