!!!THE PERSON MUST BASED IN SHENZHEN CITY, CHINA I’m driving the next iteration of our red-light therapy pad for Nuon Medical and I want it to look and feel closer to Nike ISPA than to a conventional fabric wrap. The brief is clear: a fully futuristic aesthetic, extreme waterproof performance and the durability that only a perfectly executed TPU construction can provide. You’ll be sketching, modelling and engineering soft air-cell structures exactly the way a sneaker designer handles an advanced cushioning unit, then translating them into market-ready parts through RF welding, no-sew lamination and 3D thermoforming. Transparent or semi-transparent TPU must read as “liquid glass” rather than cheap plastic, and the hard electronics—PCB, NFC tag, battery—need to disappear seamlessly inside the soft shell. I’m looking for someone who has already shipped complex soft-goods such as top-tier tech-wear pieces or performance footwear (think Adidas Y-3, Salomon Advanced, etc.). Your command of CMF, texturing and parametric embossing should be second nature, and you should be able to articulate exactly how different TPU grades—aliphatic, conductive, foamed—will affect feel, clarity and weld strength. Shenzhen is where the prototypes will be built, so familiarity with local high-frequency welding and thermoforming vendors is a plus, though I’m open to global talent as long as you can communicate manufacturing intent clearly. Key deliverables I need from you: • Concept sketches and CMF boards capturing the “future luxury” direction • 3D CAD of the full soft structure, ready for tool fabrication • Detailed welding maps, material stack-ups and tolerance guides for the factory • Prototype feedback loops until we lock a production-ready sample If you can treat TPU like a premium design medium rather than just a utility fabric, let’s talk and bring this next-gen wearable to life.
