I’m building a full-scale ERP platform for my logistics company with the clear objective of driving operational efficiency. The first milestone is a robust Transportation Management System; once that core is stable we will fold in invoicing, payment, CRM, maintenance and full shipment management. To hit the efficiency targets I need the software to automate routine back-office tasks, optimise inventory flows and give real-time, end-to-end shipment tracking. Clean, role-based dashboards for dispatchers, warehouse staff, finance and customer service are essential so each team can act on the same live data set instead of juggling spreadsheets. I’m open on the underlying tech stack as long as it is modular, well-documented and scalable. API endpoints must be exposed so we can plug in future tools (telematics, EDI, last-mile apps) without refactoring the core. A responsive web interface is plenty for phase one; native apps can wait until after go-live. Deliverables • A working TMS module covering order capture, load planning, carrier assignment, GPS tracking and POD upload • Integrated invoicing and payment logic that pulls directly from completed loads • CRM records linked to shipments and invoices for a 360° customer view • Inventory and maintenance screens that update automatically from warehouse and vehicle data • Source code in a private repo, deployment scripts and a concise technical hand-over Acceptance criteria: every shipment’s status and cost must move from booking to invoiced without manual re-keying, and the system should generate an audit trail the finance team can download in one click.
