I want to commission a complete set of plans and build documentation for a steel-hulled fishing boat . The goal is to take the vessel from concept to ready-to-cut drawings, so I need a knowledgeable naval architect or boat designer who has proven experience with working craft rather than pleasure sailboats or small rowboats. Scope of work • Translate my vision into a full preliminary design, including general arrangement, profile, and deck layout. • Produce detailed structural drawings with plate thicknesses, framing schedule, welding symbols, and reinforcement for the working deck and fish holds. • Supply hydrostatic calculations, stability report, and weight estimate to ensure the boat meets national safety standards for a commercial fishing vessel of this size. • Provide cutting patterns (DXF) and nesting files for CNC plasma cutting of the steel plates. • Create a comprehensive bill of materials covering steel grades, anodes, coatings, fastenings, mechanical systems, and recommended engine/shaft sizing. • Outline a step-by-step build sequence so a competent fabricator can follow the project without guesswork. I work primarily with AutoCAD and Rhino, so files in either of those formats—or compatible formats such as SolidWorks STEP—will be perfect. Hand sketches are welcome for concept iterations, but final deliverables must be digital and dimensioned. Acceptance criteria A design review session will mark each milestone complete: concept layout, structural package, stability documentation, and final production files. The project is finished once all files are delivered, checked for completeness, and ready for the yard to begin cutting steel.
