Project Title: Technical Manufacturing Drawings for Custom Table Base – 3 Interconnected Legs with Complex Angles & Rounded Profile Project Description: I need a skilled freelancer to create detailed technical drawings for a custom table base consisting of three sculptural legs. The tabletop will be made separately later. I have reference photos from online (I do not have access to the physical table), so the freelancer will need to work from these images to create a proportionally accurate and structurally sound design. Key Details: • Scope: Drawings for the complete leg assembly only (3 pieces). The tabletop is a separate future project. • Tabletop Size: The tabletop will be 366 cm in length. The legs must be designed to proportionally suit a table of this size and provide adequate stability. • The Design (based on reference photos): o Three legs forming a sculptural base o Each of the three legs has a different angle o Two of the legs touch each other at some point along their length o One leg appears to intersect with the middle leg o The legs converge and connect toward the center of the table o Each leg has a distinctive rounded profile along its length (similar to the curved shape of a tire) o The top surface of each leg is flat where it will attach to the tabletop o The bottom surface of each leg is flat to stand straight on the floor • Critical Geometry: Because the legs touch and intersect at different angles, the spatial relationships and joinery between them must be precisely specified. The carpenter needs to know not just the shape of each leg individually, but how they relate to each other in space and how they connect. • Reference Material: I will provide the online photos I am working from. The freelancer will need to use their judgment to interpret proportions, angles, and construction details. I can also provide desired overall dimensions (height, footprint) as needed. Required Deliverables: • A 3D model of the complete leg assembly showing all three legs in their correct spatial relationship (format: SketchUp, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or AutoCAD). • A complete set of 2D technical drawings that a carpenter can build from. This must include: o Fully dimensioned orthographic views (front, side, top, bottom) of the entire assembly o Individual leg drawings: Detailed dimensions for each of the three legs, including their unique angles o Cross-sections to detail the rounded profile at key points along each leg o Joinery details: Clear specification of how the legs attach to each other where they touch and intersect (e.g., mortise and tenon, dowels, brackets, etc.) o Leg placement: Recommended positioning of the three legs along the 366 cm tabletop for optimal stability o Footprint: Clear indication of how far apart the feet spread o Attachment to tabletop: Recommended attachment method (threaded inserts, bolt holes, brackets, etc.) shown clearly o Material specification: Recommended wood type and minimum stock dimensions o Templates or cutting diagrams for angled joinery if helpful for the carpenter Ideal Freelancer: You have proven experience in complex furniture design and technical drafting for manufacturing. You are proficient in CAD software and comfortable working with multi-component assemblies where parts interact at different angles. You understand furniture joinery and can create clear, accurate shop drawings for a carpenter. You are comfortable working from reference photos to create precise, real-world measurements and proportions. Additional Notes: • I do not have the physical table, only online photos. The freelancer must be comfortable with reverse engineering from images. • The tabletop will be made separately later, so the leg tops should be designed with standard attachment points that will work with a future tabletop. • Accuracy in capturing the unique angles, the rounded profile, and the intersection points is the most critical part of this project.
