I’m running TrueNAS SCALE inside a Hyper-V VM with every hard drive passed through directly. After deleting an old disk-pool this morning, the GUI now throws the “topology ‑ Disks have duplicate serial numbers: None (sdb, sdc, sdd)” warning. What I’ve already tried—without success—included rebooting the VM, physically re-plugging the drives, and double-checking the pool layout from the shell. I also added and removed a few disks recently, so the system has definitely seen hardware changes that might have confused udev or the TrueNAS inventory. I need someone who understands TrueNAS SCALE, Hyper-V passthrough quirks, and Linux device-mapping to: • Identify why those three drives are being detected with a “None” serial • Restore unique identifiers (or show me how to mask/override them properly) • Make the warning disappear in the UI and ensure the pool can be recreated or imported safely • Provide a short step-by-step so I can repeat the fix if I add more disks later Remote access can be arranged via anydesk only.
